Students must attend school every day in order to support their learning. When a student misses school, it is unexcused - regardless of the reason - this includes absences due to medical, family vacation, and family emergency. Under the new law, all absences are considered unexcused*(Nevada Revised Statute 392.122).
At Wooster, if a student receives more than 7 absences in a course in a semester - they will fail that course, regardless if his/her grade in the gradebook reflects that they are passing. (NRS 392.122)
